SWEET DREAMS UPDATE-A Very Heartwrenching Tragic Story
This story really rips at my soul,it is one of the most senseless and inhuman stories that I have read in all my years on this earth. A 14 year old boy escaped from his Mother's home, where he'd been held captive, beaten and starved for 4 1/2 years. He spent most of his time locked in a bedroom closet.Police were notified on Friday by a security guard at a National Guard Facility in Oklahoma City, when the teenager showed up in obvious need of medical attention. He was malnourished and had numerous scars on his body other signs of abuse, according to police. The victim was examined at a hospital and turned over to the Department of Human Services. The abusive Mom LaRhonda M. McCall(37) and a male friend(38) Steve V. Hamilton were arrested on Saturday on 20 complaints of child abuse and child neglect.Although, formal charges have not been filed, the evil pair are being held on $400,000 bond. The teenaged victim had walked up to the security guard around 5:00 pm on Friday and asked where was the police station located so he could report being abused. He told police that the scars on his stomach and torso were caused from alcohol being poured on him and set on fire. After the abusive Mom was arrested, she admitted to police that she had beat her son with a belt numerous times on his chest and back as well as his legs over a period of 3 years. The male friend also admitted beating the teenager as well as,witnessing the Mom beat the helpless teen.He claimed not to have contacted police out of fear for LaRhonda. The 14 year old victims other minor siblings were also removed from the horribly abusive home.I pray to God for justice to be served on these TWO EVIL PEOPLE that are suppose to be human beings....

SWEET DREAMS UPDATE
Police: Ex-Lobo Battered Girlfriend
A former University of New Mexico football player allegedly put a loaded handgun in his girlfriend's mouth as she was holding the couple's child. He was later found with steroids when police searched him.
Daniel Gawronski, 29, was booked Friday into the Metropolitan Detention Center. Bond was set at $500,000.
Gawronski's girlfriend told police the two had been arguing for several weeks.
She said an argument became physical Friday at the couple's Albuquerque home, according to a criminal complaint filed in Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court.
At one point, Gawronski told the woman "she would be dead before the cops could show up," according to the complaint.
Gawronski then allegedly grabbed his handgun, chambered a round and put the gun in her mouth while she held the couple's baby.
He said he would kill her if she ruined his career, according to the complaint. Gawronski also allegedly wrapped a belt around her neck.
Officers eventually responded to the incident.
Gawronski was later taken into custody without incident.
Officers found two bottles of steroids in his pocket when they searched him.
Gawronski denied choking or putting a gun to her head, saying she is suicidal. He said she put the gun to her own head.
Gawronski has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon on a household member and/or great bodily harm, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment and child abuse.
The former starting middle linebacker played for UNM in 2002 and 2003.
UNM's Web site described Gawronski as "an intimidating, physical player who brings some real toughness to the middle."
He won the Lobos' 2002 Beefmaster Award for players weighing 251 to 275 pounds. Prior to his senior season, Gawronski held the school's linebacker record for bench press (465 pounds), squat (660 pounds) and incline press (407 pounds), according to the Web site.
He finished his UNM career with 115 tackles, including 100 his senior year. (Albuquerque Journal Article)

Published in ALLVOICES by me(win59) NO CHARGES FOR SEX WITH COWS
Animal cruelty charges were dismissed against a New Jersey Police Officer accused of committing indecent sexual acts with young cows. A grand jury reportedly stated there was no way of knowing whether the cows were tormented or not. The accused Moorestown Police Officer Robert Melia, who is suspended, allegedly engaged in oral sex acts with 5 calves in Southampton in 2006. The judge stated that the "Acts were questionable and disgusting, but did not constitute cruelty to animals". Kevin Morgan a Burlington County Assistant Prosecutor reportedly stated " I think any reasonable juror could infer that a man's penis in the mouth of a calf is torment". However, the suspended cop still has a pending case for sexually assaulting 3 girls over a 5 year period, for which he and his wife were arrested back in April 2008.

The Hawthorne woman that was brutally beaten was 70 years old!
PREVIOUSLY REPORTED NEWS ARTICLE FOLLOW-UP(DAILY BREEZE NEWS ARTICLE)
A woman brutally beaten and raped on a Hawthorne street was identified when her son reported her missing and then saw television coverage of the crime, police said Saturday.
The victim, who is unconscious in a hospital, is 70 years old, Hawthorne police Lt. Mike Ishii said.
Her name has not been released because she is a sexual assault victim.
A former Marine from Hawthorne was arrested shortly after 3 a.m. Friday when police officers interrupted the crime.
Gary DeVaughn LaBon, who served a prison term in Pennsylvania for sexual assault, allegedly ran from officers and struggled with them to get away, but was shot with a Taser gun and taken into custody.
LaBon, 48, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and rape.
A resident in the 12900 block of 129th Street had called 911 after hearing the victim's screams, police said.
A man was on top of the woman on the sidewalk when police arrived, Ishii said.
Officers believe the victim was collecting aluminum cans from trash cans on the street. Residents had placed their trash bins at the curb for trash pickup Friday morning.
A victim, whose face was so badly beaten her features could not be identified, suffered severe head injuries. She was reported in extremely critical condition.
Police did not know her identity until late Friday, when her son saw news coverage and suspected the victim might be his missing mother, Ishii said.

A SHOCKING REMINDER
The news article below is very eery to me. It reminds me of that Saturday Morning in June, when my 22 year old daughter's ex-abuser tried to burn us alive as we all slept. He also posted his violent intentions on his MySpace page and he is also a local rapper. Fortunately, he is currently still in jail for aggravated sexual assault, not related however to his attempted murder of my family.

UNMERCIFUL BEATING
Police officers interrupted a man in the act of raping a woman on a Hawthorne sidewalk early today, stopping a crime that left the victim near death and unidentified.
The victim, police said, was so badly beaten, officers could not recognize her facial features. She is unconscious with severe head injuries, listed in extremely critical condition at a local trauma center.
"We have no idea who she is yet," Hawthorne police Lt. Mike Ishii said. "She may have been out for an early morning walk or was collecting cans."
The woman is Asian and about 50 to 55 years old.
The suspect, Gary Devaughn Labon, 48, of Hawthorne, tried to run from officers, but was arrested in a struggle. Police officers shot him with a Taser stun gun to subdue him, Ishii said.
Labon was held at the Hawthorne jail on suspicion of attempted murder and rape.
Police responded to the 12900 block of Jefferson Avenue at 3 a.m. when a resident heard screaming and called 911, suggesting there was some type of dispute occurring in the street.
When officers arrived, they found Labon on top of the woman, physically assaulting her, Ishii said.
The man ran, but was caught.
"It turns out he was in the middle of sexually assaulting this lady on the street," Ishii said.
Ishii said it was fortunate the alert neighbor heard the commotion, allowing police to end the crime in progress and arrest Labon.(daily breeze article)

THIS IS THE FOLLOW-UP TO MY STORY CLOSE TO HOME REPORTED ON ALLVOICES
I am happy to report that police are reported to have arrested a 27 year old man for concealing a homicide. Khaalig Battle claims to have been forced to move the victim's body or risk physical harm to himself. Aside from his connection to the murder, he also faces charges of armed robbery and home invasion for an unrelated incident on September 11. Police received a tip that Battle was involved with the homicide. Battle allegedly told police he did not shoot Powell, but after the murder,he helped move the body to the vacant lot after being threatened. The accomplice also stated that Powell's body was thrown off of a balcony and placed in a car and driven to the South Peoria grassy lot where he was set on fire. Police would not reveal the details of additional suspects. I personally hope that everyone involved with this unmerciful and inhumane crime is captured and punished. The victim's family absolutely deserves for his murderer's to be brought to justice.

SWEET DREAMS UPDATE
While enjoying my morning coffee, I read this article in my local newspaper about a woman desperate to get out of a violent relationship. I admire her courage because she took desperate measures to get away from her abuser. According to reports a local 24 year old woman, convinced her 25 year old abusive boyfriend to accompany her to the local courthouse, where she intended to obtain an order of protection. Once at the courthouse, the victim asked a deputy for help, and the deputy made the abuser leave the courthouse. After she obtained the order of protection, the abuser reportedly jumped into the truck that the victim was driving and threatened her. When they returned home, the abusive man pushed the victim through the front door, bound her hands with electrical tape and hit her in the face. He eventually let her go and she received treatment at a local hospital for her injuries. Her abuser received six years in prison for battery. I am relieved for her that she does not have to worry about this abusive man for quite some time. She's truly blessed to be a surviver..................

Police seek man in woman's shooting
DAYTONA BEACH -- Police are looking for a man they say threatened a woman's infant, stole her money and shot her, Daytona Beach police spokesman Jimmie Flynt said Saturday.
The victim, Wanquesha White, 19, told police she was going to visit a friend on Jean Street with her 1-year-old daughter Friday at 7:33 p.m., Flynt said in a news release.
After she backed her car into a spot on the north side of 401 Jean Street, a man opened the front passenger door, got into the car and removed the keys from the ignition with his left hand while displaying a silver-colored gun in his right hand.
White told police the man said to her, "You don't want nothing to happen to your baby," as he reached into her front right pants pocket and took $90. After checking the left front pocket, he left the vehicle and shot her in the left thigh.
White told police she saw another man standing outside her car during the incident and saw that man run north ot with the shooter. The suspected accomplice was later apprehended, police said.
He is identified as Sammie Crooms, 27, of 743 Herman St., Daytona Beach. Crooms is charged with aggravated battery and principal to armed robbery. Crooms remained held on $30,000 bail, a Volusia County Branch Jail booking officer said Saturday.
The shooting suspect has not been identified, the release states. White described him as a black male in his late 20s or early 30s, weighing about 260 pounds and bald. He wore a black T-shirt and shorts of unknown color.
The baby was not injured. The gunshot entered the inside of White's left thigh and exited through the back of the thigh. A friend took her to Halifax Health Medical Center on Friday night, where police were called.
Her condition was not available Saturday.

SWEET DREAMS UPDATE
Here's yet another domestic violence murder/suicide. It seems that these types of violent crimes are rapidly on the rise. While having my morning coffee and reading my local newspaper, this tragic story caught my attention. A woman in Louisiana lost her fight against domestic violence. Her estranged abusive husband shot her, their 26 year old son and two year old grandson to death and seriously wounded his pregnant daughter-in-law. The woman had a restraining order against her abusive husband. The father of the pregnant woman, said the abusive husband/murderer had history of abusing his estranged wife and recently tried to attack her with a machete. Their was also another 16 month old child in the house during the shootings, but was not hurt. The abusive man was spotted by deputies about 20 minutes after the shootings driving on a highway. When the deputies tried to pull him over, he shot and killed himself. The pregnant woman gave birth to a health baby boy, three months early. (PJStar article)

SWEET DREAMS UPDATE=11 MONTHS OF HELL FOR YOUNG WIFE
I READ AN ESPECIALLY DISTURBING ARTICLE IN THE DALLAS NEWS THIS MORNING. IT WAS ESPECIALLY DISTURBING BECAUSE THE VICTIM'S ABUSER GREW VERY VIOLENTLY ANGRY, VERY FAST.(his punching holes in the walls was ALL too familar)... PLEASE READ ON............She was married for only 11 months - and she was terrified almost every minute of them.
Relatives of 22-year-old Kaidan Ramsay said the newlywed lived in fear of her jealous husband before he finally stalked and shot her on a busy Brooklyn street.
The college student was recovering from her wounds at Kings County Hospital yesterday while her family kept a vigil at her side.
"She's been afraid, so she hasn't been complaining to us about him being abusive," said her uncle Ewan Clarke, 32.
"He's the type of guy who punches holes in the wall," Clarke said. "He gives messages of intimidation so she's afraid to say anything."
Lenox Ramsay, 19, was arraigned yesterday on a host of charges - including attempted murder, assault and menacing - stemming from the Tuesday morning attack in Crown Heights.
Cops say Ramsay ambushed his wife, who moved out of their home three days earlier, in front of Medgar Evers College and chased her down Carroll St., grabbing her wrist and throwing her into traffic.
Frantic to escape, Kaidan Ramsay tried to jump into a passing car and used her phone to call her sister for help.
"We heard her say, 'No! No! No!' and we heard her screaming for help," said Clarke, who was with Kaidan Ramsay's sister, Shelly Ann Riley, when she got the desperate call.
"We heard her say 'He has a gun,'" said Clarke, a nurse's assistant, "and 'I've been shot.'"
Lenox Ramsay, who was denied bail, pleaded guilty in 2008 to assaulting, menacing and harassing an ex-girlfriend, according to court records.
His wife never filed a domestic incident report against him, but Kaidan Ramsay briefly left her drug-dealing husband this spring after he beat her, her father said.
"She had bruises on her body [and] she came to stay with me," said Herbert Riley, 54, a mechanic. "But he promised he'd change so she went back."
After seeing a gun in their Brownsville home, Kaidan Ramsay finally decided to report the abuse and went to the 67th Precinct Sunday - just two days before the shooting - in order to file a report, her family said.
Ramsay's family said they were turned away by cops for not having any evidence of violence, but an NYPD spokesman said there were no records that she visited the precinct.
Investigators said Lenox Ramsay fired six shots at his wife - including a pair as he stood above her wounded body - and hit her twice. One of the bullets shattered her left shoulder bone and lodged in her collarbone.
"It's painful, unnerving and shocking," said Herbert Riley. "We want him to be put away for the rest of his life."

MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO MURDERING HIS WIFE
A Gages Lake man pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges that he killed his wife in February 2007.
John Dean Jr., 59, pleaded guilty to a single count of first-degree murder in connection with the 2007 slaying at Nadine Dean's home in the 33500 block of Oakland Drive in Gages Lake.
Dean faces up to 45 years in prison and will be sentenced by Associate Judge Christopher Stride on Nov. 6, said prosecutor Suzanne Willett. Dean originally faced eight counts of murder.
Authorities say the couple got into an argument at their home on the day of the murder, and afterward Nadine, a nurse at Winchester House, attempted to leave and get into a car. That's when police say John Dean began chasing her with a kitchen knife and stabbed her numerous times as she ran to the doorsteps of a neighbor.
Dean, who had a history of domestic violence arrests, then fled to Waukegan where he was captured later that evening after being seen by a gas station attendant who recognized his face from a countywide man search.
Nadine's family was present at Tuesday's hearing.

Dean, who had a history of domestic violence arrests, then fled to Waukegan where he was captured later that evening after being seen by a gas station attendant who recognized his face from a countywide man search.
Nadine's family was present at Tuesday's hearing.

MEMORIE FLASHBACK
Back in 1976 prior to my first abusive marriage, when I met my biological Mom for the first time, she came and took me back to New York with her where she was living at the time. She took me to see a play called "THE WIZ" which starred STEPHANIE MILLS.I remember how impressed I was with her singing. She had a beautiful singing voice. Later on, when she became a recording artist one of my favorite song's by her was "NEVER KNEW LOVE LIKE THIS".She became one of my favorite singer's of the 1980's. I was excited to find this video, here are two of my favorite singing Artist's...

LOVE CALCULATER
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HURTS---LOVE ISN'T SUPPOSE TO

3. Do you feel completely controlled by your partner?
4. Do you feel helpless, trapped, alone, and isolated?

7. Do you blame the violence on stress, on drugs/alcohol, or a bad childhood?

9. Do you fear going home?
10. Are you limited in your freedom like a child? (Go to the store and come straight home. It should take you 15 minutes.)

THE AFTER MATH OF CHILDHOOD SEXUAL ABUSE (by Dennis Thompson Jr.)
People who were sexually abused as children may have issues with sexual dysfunction and self-destructive behavior when they get older.
Sexual abuse leaves many scars, creating feelings of guilt, anger, and fear that haunt survivors throughout their lives. Adults who have undergone sexual abuse as children commonly experience depression and insomnia. High levels of anxiety in these adults can result in self-destructive behaviors, such as alcoholism or drug abuse, anxiety attacks, and situation-specific anxiety disorders.
The damage extends to the sexual abuse survivor's sense of their own sexuality. Many survivors also have trouble pursuing adult relationships and enjoying sex as an adult. The abuse can color a person's sexuality, preventing the survivor from pursuing a healthy sex life with a loving partner.
Sexual Abuse and Sexual Behaviors
In general, childhood sexual abuse survivors tend to either pursue sex recklessly as adults or to forgo sex completely, says Stephen L. Braveman, MA, a licensed marriage and family therapist in Monterey, Calif., and the western regional representative of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists. "They typically wind up with splitting behavior, where things become very black and white," he says. "Either they are very sexually active, or they shut down sexually." www.everydayhealth.com

Sweet Dreams 4
I remember back in June of 94,I was married to my 2nd abusive husband and pregnant with my now 14 year old son.Nicole Brown Simpson had been murdered. This sent a real chill down my spine.I can remember thinking, now her kids are left without a mother..But,I still remained in my abusive marriage for a little while longer. However,I did separate from him before my son was born.Of course this was not our first seperation.....ya,know the victim most always goes back to her abuser..You know the drill...'I'M Sorry' it won't happen again...Anyway on to Clue #3 CONTROLLING BEHAVIOR...The abuser wants to know your every move...if you arrive home late from an appointment or work, the abuser will become angry and accuse you of seeing someone else. The abuser at this point is very irrational.Trying to defend your actions or trying to reason with the abuser at this point can be very exhausting, to say the least. The abuser will want to control everything from what you wear,to where you go, to whom you talk too.Are you starting to wake up?Well,THERE'S EVEN MORE...AND IT GETS MORE SERIOUS AS WE GO ALONG...
SWEET DREAMS-THREE'S A CROWD
I can remember having the very misguided feeling of being special and ooh so loved, because my husband was so insanely jealous.I was foolish and naive enough to think that this was cute.I was 17,the first time I got married...of course,it was against my adopted parents better judgement. But,you already know...that of course, I did not listen to them.So many women feel unrealistically flattered by the potential abusers jealousy.WAKE UP! You are headed in a DANGER ZONE! I must also mention that,I have suffered from depression my whole life..So,of course this added to my insecurities and acceptance of allowing myself to be a victim time and time again for years..I must say when my 21 yr. old daughter started dating her soon to be abuser..I could do something that,I could not do each time I met one of my future abusers..It was if I had some kind of a built in radar..something that I did not have concerning my abusive relationships. He may as well have been wearing a label because I could see right through him.He absolutely, terrified me.I tried over and over again to warn my daughter to no avail. She stayed in the relationship.I could tell exactly when she was starting to see the REAL person that she too quickly became involved with..Which brings me to #2)QUICK INVOLVEMENT! That Worldwind Wanna Be Romance. The potential abuser comes on strong "You are the only one for me" or "you are the only person that I can trust or talk to"..Many abusers propose in less than six months.Potential abusers will often put pressure on their victims for commitment...to the point that the victim may feel guilty if they want to slow down the relationship. This is yet another important clue..PAY ATTENTION! If these two very important clues are not enough Believe me THERE ARE MORE!

Sweet Dreams Too
First,I would like to say the feelings of hopelessness and just sheer low self esteem can cause a woman to feel so worthless, that she feels somehow it is her fault that her partner is abusive to her. These feelings are Totally Untrue. Please,Please do not listen to these negative feelings. If you have a trusted family member or friend..Please confide in them and let them be a strong source of support. You CAN NOT CHANGE HIM! You are waisting valuable time,if you try.I know that I felt for years, like it was my fault..I thought 'It must be my fault,if I keep attracting these kinds of guys".If you do not have a friend or family member, talk to your family doctor. If this is not an option call 1-800-559-safe.I know that a lot of women stay in the relationship because of finances and their children or both.Especially today,in these hard economic times. It can be difficult. But,your life is priceless..just remember that.If you have young children, they desperately need you.For those of you that would like to know what to look for, as far as WARNING SIGNS..TO VIOLENT ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR..# 1)EXTREME JEALOUSY! He will tell you especially in the beginning of your relationship, that his jealousy is because he loves you so much..you are the best thing that has ever happened to him.He doesn't want lose you.WATCH OUT!
SWEET DREAMS (The beginning of this blog)
This blog is dedicated to women survivors of domestic violence.I was a victim of domestic violence for years. It is behind me now but,it recently touched my 21 year old daughter's life. All of the signs were there and I saw them and I desperately tried to warn her about them. But,of course she would not listen to me.Her ex-boyfriend recently set our house on fire as we were sleeping. The Lord awoke my daughter in time for her to alert us all(my husband & my two teenaged sons)we were able to escape without harm and our house was not very badly damaged.I have since installed a home security system. We all are still terrified because he was never arrested for the aggravated arson. The police did not have prove that he did it.Even though he posted a photo of himself, posing with a lighter burning,on a social network. My daughter has a 2yr. protection order against him.He violated it with telephone calls,he was arrested for this and he does have to go to court for it.In my blog I will list telltale signs of a potentially abusive person.I hope that I can help someone out there avoid becoming a victim of domestic violence.
MANHUNT IN PEORIA (published ALLVOICES) by me win59
On Tuesday Morning November 16th,my husband and I awoke to the startling news of two inmates escaping from the Peoria County Jail sometime between Monday 8:00pm and Tuesday 6:30am. James Fuller 44 and Aaron Cook 28 had managed to escape from the roof. The two had tied sheets together to lower themselves from the rooftop of the jail.(it was like something out of a movie) Fuller had been digging his escape thru the roof for well over a year.Aaron Cook had been in jail since March for breaking the arm of a 3 year old girl.James Fuller an unemployed felon, already convicted of armed robbery and rape was accused of attacking the same woman twice(I & my husband remember reading about the attack in our local newspaper)He is described as a very scary character.Police warned the public that Fuller is to be CONSIDERED DANGEROUS.But,what really made this very scary for me personally, was the fact that he was tracked down to the very neighborhood in which I live.Aaron Cook was captured several hours after the two escaped. He was found hiding in the basement of a residence and two people were arrested for obstructing justice. But,Fuller was still at large.Just blocks away,Fuller broke into a resident's home, tied him up and robbed him, taking a vehicle and a cell phone.Around 7:00 pm he reportedly left the stolen vehicle in a High School parking lot(he was in my area now). The police tracked the cell phone to an area that is like 2 blocks from my house! I was a paranoid mess and I can imagine the fear his victims must have felt upon the news of his escape. He was out there somewhere the entire night.Police finally captured him in a vacant house, where he reportedly surrendered without a struggle(he had left my area). It is reported that Serial Rapist James Fuller 6'3 and 225 lbs. was a patient at Zellers Mental Health Center(now closed down) 20 years ago, when he overpowered a worker and escaped(he was 24 yrs. old) he was at large for 5 days.He was a sixteen year old basketball star when he was first charged with rape,it is reported. But,thanks to the Peoria Police Department and local authority's James Fuller Serial Rapist and Man Of Terror is back behind bars!
