TWO DISMEMBERED BODIES FOUND IN NEW JERSEY.....

(CNN) -- Authorities in Linden, New Jersey, have launched a homicide investigation after the discovery Monday of a pair of trash bags containing the dismembered remains of two people, officials said.

The medical examiner has confirmed the body parts are "indeed human," the Union County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release.

"There were two bodies found inside trash bags near the intersection of Essex Avenue and Cranford Avenue," spokesman John Holl said in the release, adding that the remains are from adults, one male and one female.

Yellow police tape surrounded the scene Monday afternoon, tied to the tree trunks lining the quiet residential street where the black trash bags were discovered earlier in the morning.

Linden Mayor Richard J. Gerbounka, who was at the site, called the shocking discovery "very unusual for this area."

"We've got the homicide investigative team out and they're in the process of culling the area for evidence," he said.

Along with the Linden Police Department, investigators from the county prosecutor's office and the city fire department also were at the site. ILLINOIS STATE POLICE LOOKING FOR COUPLE WITH OUT OF STATE WARRANTS (They tried to run down a state trooper in Bloomington)

Illinois State police are searching for a couple, who are wanted on out-of-state warrants, in connection with an attempted hit-and-run at a rest area near Bloomington this morning.

Cory Mathew Wolf, 31, was behind the wheel of a blue Ford F-150 pickup truck just after 7 a.m. in the truck parking area of the I-55 Funk's Grove Rest Area, when an Illinois State Police trooper approached, state police said.

The officer had observed that the truck's steering column had been tampered with, police said.

Wolf tried to strike the officer with the truck as he fled the scene, heading west into Tazewell County.

Also inside the vehicle was Brittany Thompson, 24.

Wolf is described as 5 foot, 5 inches tall, 150 pounds, with closely shaven brown hair, blue eyes and multiple tattoos. He has a warrant in Benton County, Arkansas for flight to avoid prosecution on felony residential burglary charges. He also has warrants in Mayes County, Oklahoma for shooting with the intent to kill and burglary.
Thompson is described as 5 foot, 6 inches tall, 120 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. She has a warrant in Benton County for obstructing police.

The pickup truck has Oklahoma license plate No. 582 ANK and was reported stolen. The couple is considered armed and dangerous.--http://www.chicagobreakingnews.com/

21 YEAR OLD MAN SHOOTS 84 YEAR OLD ELDERLY MAN IN ROBBERY

April 5, 2010 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- A 21-year-old man has been charged for the Monday morning shooting of an elderly man on the South Side.


The 84-year-old victim was shot in the legs during an apparent armed robbery about 5:15 a.m. in the 7900 block of South Western Avenue, police said.

The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez, who said the man's condition had "stabilized" later Monday morning.

Melvin Hammond, of the 7300 block of South Claremont Avenue, was charged with aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated battery of a victim over 60 years old and unlawful use of a weapon, according to police News Affairs.

Shell casings were collected at 7838 S. Western Ave., according to unconfirmed police dispatch reports.

A McDonald's restaurant is listed at the South Western Avenue address, about half a block from St. Rita High School, according to a Web directory.

St. Rita was on Easter break until Monday, April 12, according to an automated message on the school's main phone number.

Hammond was scheduled to appear for a bond hearing Tuesday at the Cook County Courthouse at 2600 S. California Ave.

BOY RESCUES MOM FROM INTRUDER

4 PEOPLE SHOT AND 54 ARRESTED IN MIDTOWN NEW YORK...

Four people were shot and 54 were arrested last night after rowdy crowds swarmed through Midtown, storming businesses, scaring tourists and harassing pedestrians through a mile-long stretch of midtown.

A law enforcement source told NBCNewYork the violence was part of a gang initiation night, that has become an annual Easter tradition. The source says the Auto Show at the Javits Center also draws gang members to the area. The NYPD has increased the number of patrol officers in Times Square and surrounding neighborhoods on Easter Sunday and overnight into Monday since 2008.

The source says that shortly after midnight, a group of Manhattan gang members walking northbound on Seventh Ave. encountered a group of Bronx gang members walking southbound. Words were exchanged, there was some shoving, and then shooting, according to a source close to the investigation.

It is unclear whether a shooting victim who was discovered at 41st Street and Eighth Avenue was actually shot uptown where a second victim was shot at 51st and Seventh Avenue.

"This was all definitely involving gangs, some new members and some being initiated," said one investigator.

The high number of arrests came as a result of cops mobilizing overnight, locking the area down by closing streets and circling the rowdy groups, law-enforcement sources said.

The mayhem stretched from Herald Square to Times Square, and farther north, to Rockefeller Center.

The Manhattan D.A. will begin arraigning those arrested later this afternoon. Charges include disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and weapon possession. In all 45 adults and 9 youths were arrested.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg described the night's events as "wilding."

"We loaded the area up with police, but they can't be everywhere," he said. "We're not going to tolerate it. ... This is just a bunch of people who shouldn't be on the streets if they behave this way and we're not going to stand for it."---http://www.nbcnewyork.com/

OHIO SERIAL KILLER'S 11th VICTIM'S CAUSE OF DEATH UNDETERMINED..

An autopsy report obtained by The Associated Press shows a coroner could not determine a cause of death for an 11th victim whose skull was found in a sex offender's Cleveland home.

The report was released Monday by the Cuyahoga County coroner's office and shows 25-year-old Le'Shanda Long died of homicidal violence.

Her skull was found in a pink plastic bucket in the basement of Anthony Sowell's home in November. The rest of her remains have not been found.

The report says that the skull was intact but that the bucket had bite marks around the rim that weren't made by a person.

Autopsies released last week for the other 10 victims showed most were strangled with household objects.

Sowell has pleaded not guilty to killing the 11 women and hiding their remains in and around his home

PEORIA MAN KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS BY UNKNOWN ASSAILANT...

PEORIA — A Peoria man was taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center early Saturday after being knocked unconscious by another man in the 500 block of Main Street.

Jennifer E. Wyman, 21, of Peoria flagged down police about 2 a.m. on Main Street after she witnessed the incident.

Wyman had been walking along the street, holding hands with Aaron M. Krasner, 22, also of Peoria, when a light-skinned man approached them, she told police. Wyman and Krasner raised their hands so the unidentified man could walk beneath. The man said something to the couple as he walked past.

Wyman told police she turned around to ask what he had said, and the man hit Krasner in the head. That caused Krasner to fall and hit his head on the sidewalk; the blow rendered him unconscious.

The unidentified man fled on foot, Wyman said.

Another witness told police the man was seen leaving the scene in a black sport-utility vehicle with out-of-state license plates.

Krasner regained consciousness after police arrived but was taken to the hospital for observation, the report said.--http://www.pjstar.com/

My best friend Bernice choose a partial as a replacement for her two upper front teeth because it was the quickest.I was awaiting my bridge to come in which would take up to 8 weeks.As I've said before I really don't remember a whole about this time in my life.I started drinking and suffered from severe depression and didn't quite realize that I needed help with my severe feelings of hopelessness.Back then no one talked about depression and it wasn't so widely recognized as an illness.Anyway Bernice had decided to marry the man that  disfigured her mouth.I didn't see her again until after they were married and moved into an apartment.Everything seemed to be going alright for her and she was thinking about having a child with her new husband.She went back to school and earned her GED and became an LPN.He taught her how to drive and she got her driver's license.Yes,everything seemed to be going good for my best friend.About a week or so after my abusive husband had disfigured my mouth,someone smashed him in the face with a wine bottle and he had to have surgery on his face.It left a horrible scar and I was like "Wow,Karma came around to him pretty fast for what he had done to me".You would have thought that he would now stop and think about doing wrong deeds to other's, but unfortunately he just kept the same frame of mind.I stopped seeing my boyfriend for a short time,I guess part of me had blamed him for not being there to stop my crazed abusive husband from attacking me and the other part of me was very embarrassed and ashamed of my disfigurement.I had made a vow to NEVER again color out the teeth of models on magazines like I once did before my teeth were knocked out.Anyway one night my boyfriend was upstairs visiting me in my apartment when there was a knock on the door.I immediately panicked and did not want to answer the door out of fear of what would happen.My boyfriend was tired of hiding his feelings for me and told me to answer the door.I asked "Who is it? and I knew before the voice on the other side of the door told me that it was my abusive husband, indeed  that it was my abusive husband, but my boyfriend told me to open the door and I did. My abusive then said "Wait a _______ minute" and he came flying through the door like a bat out of hell,racing right past me to my boyfriend was sitting on the sofa,I yelled out "Look Out!!!" because my abusive husband had some kind of a pipe that I only got a glimpse of.Fear took over and I ran to get help without even seeing who went down, because I was afraid that this time my abusive husband would kill me as he had promised after he was finished with my boyfriend.My boyfriend's sister and her boyfriend came back to my apartment with me and my boyfriend was doing just fine.He had taken the weapon from my crazed abusive husband and held him down and warned him to NEVER try another move like that again and believe it or not,my abusive husband agreed to Never come at him like that again.But the one thing my abusive husband left out was, he had firmly made up his mind to take my babies from me.There was no way that he was going to allow me to have my children and be with someone else,just no way.Disfiguring my  mouth wasn't enough and having me lay awake every night in my apartment and wonder if this was the night that he would break-in and kill me.He was determined to DESTROY me and taking my children was the one way he could accomplish that and he knew it.Besides he had tried to kill my boyfriend and had failed miseriably and I'm sure that he felt humiliated behind that.After being in control of my life for years,he had finally lost control.He could no longer tell me what to do or who I could see and he couldn't handle it...........

A body found washed ashore near the Whitestone Bridge has been identified as a man who slashed his wife and stabbed her sister, sources said Friday.

A man walking discovered Fitzgerald Jolly's body Thursday night, cops said.

When Jolly learned his wife, Patricia Kates, 36, was pregnant on Monday, he cut her throat and stabbed her twin, Petrona.

Cops later found Jolly's abandoned car near the bridge. The women were treated for their wounds at Jamaica Hospital, and the unborn baby was not harmed

INTERNET PERVERT NABBED ON AMTRAK AS HE LAY SLEEPING WITH A 13 YEAR OLD GIRL....

A pervert was nabbed on a train bound for California as he lay sleeping in a car with a 13-year-old Long Island girl he had met on the Internet, police said.

John Vertrees, 22, was busted in Rochester on a westbound Amtrak train about 10:15 p.m. Friday with the runaway teen, Suffolk County police said.

Vertrees, of Sacramento, Calif., was arrested for unlawful imprisonment and could face more charges for attempting to take the young girl to his West Coast home, cops said.

After the two met in an Internet chat room in January, Vertrees traveled to the teenager's home last week, police said.

The creep slipped through her bedroom window Wednesday night, and the two spent a few hours together, cops said.

On Friday, the girl sneaked out her window about 4 a.m. and met Vertrees, who was waiting for her in a taxi, police said.

The parents notified police when they noticed their young daughter was missing about 9a.m., cops said.

Officers from the Suffolk Police Kidnap Investigation Team began an intensive search for the missing teen, looking through her telephone and computer records, police said.

Investigators soon learned that the pair were on a California-bound train and called Amtrak Police to halt it soon after it had departed from the upstate station, cops said.

Rochester police boarded the train and found the pair sleeping in a car, cops said.

The officers took Vertrees and the teenage girl into custody, cops said.

The runaway teen was flown back to her home and reunited with her family about 10:15 a.m. yesterday.

Vertrees was arrested and was being transported last night back to Suffolk County, where he faces additional charges, cops said
